I am sitting in Spain as I write and have not felt myself going over sideways as yet. No earthquakes either as millions commit suicide and hit the deck...
Perhaps we will be flooded out with the mass tears which will no doubt come! Plus all the inevitable recriminations etc. I can't wait to see the headline tomorrow in the Spanish newspapers, it will be like the day of The Apocalypse! They will now have to cope with drastic cuts in the economy, mass protests as to this, then they will protest no doubt about the failure of the European champions in a sport which they thought they had sewn up... think again... oh the JOY of it!! I am vindicated. Football is a game for ........... All the players should now have their pay cheques cut in half or more, which will rebalance the national debt by a lot, and in general, all players should go back to school and learn to speak correctly and do a lot of other things which I will think of some other time.
Osborne to give bank more power. Since when has Ozzy become a bank manager? I know he writes for the Times, but a bank manager? Maybe he can sort out the Spanish debt. He'll probably do better than the lot in power have done for the last 8 years, with 2 more to go! Now, there's a just cause for committing suicide..
Something really serious and which I feel very strongly about, a headline from today's BBC news: Call to ban Iraq female mutilation. An absolutely dreadful, revolting practise which has no roots in Islam. Quote: It has no particular origins in Islam, although some clerics in Kurdistan have welcomed it because they believe it stifles sexual urges in young girls and women. No it doesn't. All it does is mutilate. It's done in the most appalling circumstances where the poor girl usually has no idea what is going on, causes ghastly injuries and pain for the rest of her life. I am glad that this is making headlines again as it is truly barbaric. Ban it everywhere...
Good, isn't it.............
